At Mann Mortgage, lending is about more than finding people mortgages in Oregon. It's about helping folks realize the dream of home ownership while giving back to the communities we live in and love. The following are events and programs in Prineville, Redmond, and Madras we care about deeply, and either directly sponsor or support.
1st Wednesday of the month (starting in September it will be the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays). This 50/50 Bingo is put on by Mann Mortgage and Ochoco Brewery, in conjunction with the Booster Club in Prineville. The proceeds of Bingo go to Camp Eagle Cap, which is a weeklong nonprofit camp for at-risk kids. Every third Bingo event, the proceeds go to a charity that is voted on by those who attend. Ochoco Brewery also donates a $1 from every burger and every beer to the Booster Club. Our team is responsible for starting this event and our whole team participates to help put it on.
In addition to the above, we are the top sponsor for the Booster Club this year, in Prineville. This sponsorship goes towards the Punt, Pass, Kick event at halftime of every football game, the half-court shot at every basketball game and other events to be determined.
This is a free class put on by our team for the community. We partnered with a Realtor in Prineville in April, and help our own in Redmond (inviting Title, Insurance and Realtors). We are holding another class in May to help renters understand how affordable home ownership can be. We go over different programs, ratios, costs and benefits. If customers are on the fence or don’t qualify just yet, our team helps them look at their finances and find a way to eventually get into a qualifying position. We plan to hold two of these classes each year, in each town.
This is an annual event, held in June every year, to help raise scholarships for graduating Seniors. Each scholarship is $1,000 and the number of scholarships is dependent on how much money is raised. In 2016 $16,000 was raised, in 2017 $16,000 was raised and this year $23,000 in scholarships will be given out. Our team is responsible for getting “Title” sponsors that are $1,000 each and “Hole” sponsors at $100 each. The team has already gathered more sponsors than last year, and will also be volunteering the day of the event.

We set money aside from each funded loan, in each specific town, to be donated at the end of each quarter. We hand out “Your Vote Matters” in each of the different towns (Madras, Redmond and Prineville) in which people select their top three nonprofits. The top three votes from each town get a portion of those funds that have been set aside. Our team sets up a time to present to each of the nonprofit so we can all attend and get a sense of what the funds are going to along with a better understanding of all the nonprofits in our area. We have recently added that a nonprofit cannot win two consecutive quarters to help spread the love!
